Penybont 6th Form College is celebrating the fantastic success of its 2019 A-Level results.
An impressive 29.3% of students received an A*- A grade, 83.8% secured A*-C results – the grade received for A* – E was a fantastic 99.4%, which at the moment, looks like it has succeeded the national comparator.
Amongst the students at Penybont 6th Form College receiving their grades was Kahlio Mader, who achieved 3 A* and 1 A and will now study Biomedical Sciences at St Hilda’s College at Oxford University this September. Kahlio also won Learner of the Year in Collaborative Courses at Bridgend College’s Annual Awards ceremony back in June 2019.
Lillie-Mai Jones, another student at Penybont 6th Form College, has been accepted to the prestigious London Studio Centre to study BA(HONS) Theatre Dance, having gained an A grade in her A level Dance alongside her other qualifications.
Penybont 6th Form College Head of Curriculum Partnerships, Gemma Carr-Evans, expressed her elation.

The Bridgend College and Pencoed Comprehensive School partnership that is ‘Penybont 6th Form’ is a unique partnership within the Bridgend area. It has been in progress for three years and results are improving each year.
By working in partnership, Penybont 6th Form can meet the needs of all its learners by offering an exciting, broad and diverse curriculum and the opportunity to link with industry professionals at the College and experienced staff at the school.
